ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood escaped with a narrow 5-4 victory over Lebanon Valley in a battle of MAC Commonwealth foes on Saturday afternoon.

The Flying Dutchmen (7-8, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) trailed after doubles play as the duo of Ariana Freeman and Alyssa Potosnak was the only team to earn a victory. The pair defeated Meaghan Donahue and Aubrey Fetters 8-6 in the second doubles matchup.

Olivia Edwards came through with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the third singles matchup, while Alyssa Potosnak and Elizabeth Drda kept LVC within striking distance with sweeps in their solo outings. Potosnak handled Donahue 6-0, 6-0 in the number five pairing, and Drda did the same to Bianca Hoch in the six slot. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the Blazers (9-7, 5-1 MAC Commonwealth) took three in singles play to pull out the match by the slimmest of margins.

The Dutchmen will try to bounce back when they host King's (Pa.) tomorrow afternoon for a non-conference outing at 1 p.m.
