OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Lebanon Valley won its third straight MAC Commonwealth match by sweeping Stevenson 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Flying Dutchmen (6-7, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth) were perfect on the day, beginning with three victories in doubles play. LVC's top team of Rebecca Pierpont and Marla Scacchitti earned an 8-4 win over Stevenson's Ty-Chelle Williams and Christina Endy, while Ariana Freeman and Alyssa Potosnak defeated Ashlyn Hawbaker and Colleen Martin 8-6 in the number two matchup. Allison Weidman and Megan Williams easily took care of Kaitlyn Van Tash and Sara Downing by sweeping them 8-0 in the number three slot.

Scacchitti had to come from behind to win her number two singles match, eventually dowining Hawbaker 3-6, 7-6 (10-4), and 10-5. Pierpont swept Williams 6-0, 6-0 in the top matchup and Edwards bested Martin 6-1, 6-1 in the number three slot. Freeman took care of Endy 6-3, 6-2, Elizabeth Drda defeated Sara Tarbert 6-0, 6-1 in the battle of number five players, and Weidman made it a clean sweep for LVC with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Downing in the final singles pairing.

The Dutchmen are back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Lycoming in hopes of winning their fourth conference match in a row.
