HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Lebanon Valley dropped a 7-2 decision to Division II Millersville during the team's spring break trip on Tuesday night, March 8.
In doubles action,
Elizabeth Drda and
Allison Weidman made things tough for Millersville's team of Kelley Hershey and Jessica Soulliard, falling 9-7 in the number three slot.
Alyssa Potosnak and
Allison Weidman each earned solo victories for the Flying Dutchmen (3-3). For Potosnak, it was her second singles win in as many days as she knocked off Soulliard 6-2, 6-3 in the number five spot. Weidman earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory over the Marauders' Paola Zablah in the number six matchup.
LVC's
Rebecca Pierpont,
Marla Scacchitti, and
Ariana Freeman all fell in two sets, but each improved upon their first set score in their match's deciding game.
Olivia Edwards was a tough out for Millersville's Kaylora Thompson as she took her to a tiebreaker in the opening game of a 7-6, 6-2 defeat.
The Dutchmen finish off their spring break play on Wednesday night when they take on Webster under the lights at 6:30 p.m.
