COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley fell 9-0 to regionally-ranked Ursinus on Saturday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (5-3) were competitive in a number of matches against their counterparts from No. 16 ranked squad in the region.
Arian Freeman and
Alyssa Potosnak went the longest in doubles play before dropping an 8-3 outing to Ursinus' BreAnna Bashaw and Ariel Danziger in the number two doubles matchup.
LVC's top singles player in
Rebecca Pierpont and
Marla Scacchitti were solid in their singles matches, with Pierpont falling 6-3, 7-5 to the Bears' top player in Ashley Nguyen and Scacchitti dropping a 6-0, 7-5 decision to Bashaw in the number two matchup.
The Dutchmen get ten days off before returning to the court. They're next in action on Tuesday afternoon, March 29 when they travel to Elizabethtown.
