How It HappenedLebanon Valley held Hood to a season-low 33 points, as the Dutchmen dominated the Blazers 66-33 in the ninth annual Pink Game on Wednesday evening. LVC improved its record to 12-7, 6-4 MAC Commonwealth, while Hood slipped to 4-14, 0-9 MAC Commonwealth.
The Dutchmen jumped out to a 5-0 lead, only to see it evaporate to two points at 7-5 with 7:09 remaining in the first quarter. From there, LVC took off and ended the quarter on a 14-6 run, capped off by two
Taylor Umbrell free throws and took a controlling 21-10 lead after one quarter of action.
In the first part of the second quarter, Hood stayed in the game and cut the Dutchmen's lead to six at 23-17 with 4:52 left in the half, but an impressive 7-1 run over the final minutes of action in the second put LVC ahead 30-18 heading into halftime.
The third quarter is where the Dutchmen began to pull away for good. They opened the third on a 7-0 run, capped off by an Umbrell trey. For the remainder of the half, LVC continued to roll and eventually won by 33 points at 66-33.
Inside the Numbers - Lantz finished with a game-high 15 points, while Chaklos and Yoh each added 10.
- LVC outrebounded Hood 54-32.
- The Dutchmen outshot the Blazers from the field 39.4-21.7%.
- Chaklos dished out a game-high four assists, while Umbrell and

- Tonight was the ninth annual Pink Game, hosted by the women's basketball team. Two checks were presented, with one going to the American Cancer Society of Lebanon, Pa., and one to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
- The team wore special pink jerseys that were auctioned off at the game.
Who's Next?Next Wednesday, the Dutchmen travel to take on Widener at 6 p.m. in a pivotal MAC Commonwealth matchup. LVC is currently in fifth place in the standings at 6-4, while the Pride, who the Dutchmen thrashed 77-38 back on Jan. 13, sit at 5-5.
