ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley handled Susquehanna 7-2 on Sunday afternoon to pick up the team's third victory of the young season.
The Flying Dutchmen's (3-1) top duo of
Rebecca Pierpont and
Marla Scacchitti set the tone with an 8-6 doubles win over SU's (1-2) Allison Lobell and Abigail Ransom while
Rachel Duong and
Allison Weidman's hard-fought victory over Cassey Fox and Amanda Costantino gave LVC a 2-1 advantage heading to singles play.
Pierpont earned a victory against the Crusaders' top singles player in Kelly Furlong and Scacchitti dispatched of Eliza Griffin 6-1, 6-0 in the number two slot.
Megan Williams and
Elizabeth Drda collected 6-1, 6-2 wins in the number four and six spots, respectively, while
Danielle Krick swept Meredith Griggs 6-0, 6-0 in the number five matchup.
The Dutchmen's final dual match of the fall season takes place on Thursday afternoon when they host Goucher at 3:30 p.m.
