ANNVILLE, Pa. – Despite some solid singles' efforts and a tight match in the number two doubles' slot, Lebanon Valley fell to Gettysburg 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
Nicole Kracum defeated the Bullets' Lindsay Morris 6-4, 6-4 in the number three singles' spot and
Marla Scacchitti took Gettysburg's Emily Lutz to three sets before falling 6-3, 5-7, 11-9 in a battle of the teams' number fives.
Scacchitti and
Brittany Dierwechter took the Bullets' Isabelle Rodriguez and Gillian Minnerly to the limit in doubles play before dropping their match by the slimmest of margins at 9-7.
Lori Noble and
Ariana Freeman kept it close in the number three doubles showdown but eventually fell 8-6.
The Flying Dutchmen are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host Lycoming for another Commonwealth Conference outing.
