ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College women's tennis battled Ursinus at home on Saturday, but fell 7-2.
Mary Kate Lemon, who now has 99 combined career wins, picked up one of LVC's points with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 over Ashley Nguyen.
Brittany Dierwechter earned LVC's other point with a comeback 2-6, 6-3, 12-10 marathon at No. 4 singles.
Other highlights for LVC included a third-set tiebreak battle at No. 2 as Audrey Whitebloom edged
Lori Noble 4-6, 6-0, 10-4, and at No. 1 doubles, where Nguyen and Aileen Bevard prevailed in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (2), over Lemon and
Nicole Kracum.
LVC's scheduled match at King's on Sunday has been postponed; the Dutchmen are slated to host Elizabethtown on Tuesday.
