How It HappenedLebanon Valley used a
Jake Thomas hat trick and another strong outing from goaltender
Chase Wilson to pick up the team's fourth straight victory; a 5-1 road win over ESCHL foe West Chester on Friday night.
Thomas did the most damage for LVC (32 PTS, 14-9-0-4) with three goals.
Zach McKown netted the game-winner,
Louis Berube added a goal, and Wilson made 29 saves on the night for the Flying Dutchmen.
Andy Thurby and
Joey LaBonte added two assists apiece.
West Chester (13 PTS, 6-21-0-1) got on the board early in the third before Thomas capped the game's scoring midway through the period.

Jake Thomas' hat trick was his first of the season and Lebanon Valley's second of the year.
Andy Thurby netted three goals in a 7-3 win over Eastern Michigan on Oct. 25.
- LVC's current four-game win streak is the team's longest of the season.
- The Dutchmen continue to play well on the road. LVC is 8-3-0-2 away from Hersheypark Arena compared to the team's 6-6-0-2 home record.
- Lebanon Valley's special teams was stout as the Dutchmen were 3-for-5 on the power play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.
Playoff PushLebanon Valley currently holds sole possession of third place in the ESCHL standings. If things hold as they are, the Dutchmen will earn the league's #3 seed and take on Rutgers in the first round of the ESCHL playoffs in two weeks.
