During this stretch, Collin Nolan tallied two attempts, while Jesse Shogan, Andrews, and Owen Ames took a shot each. Defensively, goaltender Chris Branch delivered five saves for LVC during this stretch. The program struck first when Dylan Miller netted a power-play goal, courtesy of an assist by Washco.

King's sent a shot toward the net 11:41 into the first period, but Branch was there to make a save for the Flying Dutchmen. Lebanon Valley remained aggressive offensively as the frame went on, putting seven shots on target that were saved over the next 6:53. LVC took one of these shots when the team had a 5-on-4 advantage, and Jordan Stear registered a try during a 5-on-3 advantage. The Dutchmen then capitalized on having two extra skaters on the ice, going up 2-0 at the 18:55 mark. The squad went ahead by two on a power-play goal by Andrews, following assists by Cameron Croteau and Stear. Lebanon Valley later started another power play with just 25 seconds left in the first.

The Flying Dutchmen continued this power play when the second period got underway, and the program found the net just 14 seconds into the frame to take a 3-0 lead. The team added to its advantage with another power-play goal by Andrews, after assists by Stear and Cade Helmer. The Monarchs then scored on a power-play goal by Thomas Soucy at the 5:37 mark and a goal by Kevin Martin at the 7:54 mark, narrowing their deficit to 3-2. LVC's offense also kept sending the puck toward the net as the frame progressed, as the team put six shots on goal over the next 3:18. On the defensive end, Branch logged a stop for the Dutchmen during this stretch.

Lebanon Valley got a point back 11:14 into the second period, claiming a 4-2 lead.
