ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Four singles points helped Elizabethtown clinch the Commonwealth Conference women's tennis championship in a 5-3 comeback win over Lebanon Valley.

The Dutchmen (11-5) led 2-1 after doubles, but Elizabethtown (13-6) flipped the regular-season result at No. 1 singles, then won at the bottom three flights to come back for the championship. The two teams were meeting for the seventh consecutive season for the crown, but it will be the final time as Elizabethtown departs for the Landmark Conference.

Amelia Capuano and Christie Graf provided LVC its first point with an 8-5 victory over Christine Evangelista and Kaitlyn Pellegrino. Mary Kate Lemon and Nicole Kracum followed that with an 8-3 victory over Lauren Berry and Taylor Helsel, switching the result of their regular-season meeting, but E-town secured what proved to be a key point thanks to Adriana Scotto and Madison McCall's 8-4 win over Lori Noble and Lauren Shanberg at No. 3.

In singles, Evangelista got out to a fast start and won 6-0, 6-3 against Capuano at No. 1, ending simultaneously with McCall's 6-1, 6-1 win against Shanberg at No. 6. Graf polished off a hard-fought 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3 vs. Adriana Scotto to tie the match 3-3, but LVC faced a hole at the middle flights that it couldn't dig out of.

Sarah Calabro beat Kracum 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 to put the match on the brink, and Berry clinched the championship with her 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 against Noble. That left Pellegrino and Lemon unfinished at No. 4, where Lemon had rallied back from a set down and led 4-1 in the third at 2-6, 6-4, 4-1.
