ANNVILLE, Pa. -
Christie Graf became LVC's all-time doubles wins leader as the Dutchmen upended Messiah, 7-2, in the regular-season finale.
Lebanon Valley (10-4, 5-1 CC) won its sixth straight match to clinch the #2 seed in the Commonwealth Conference tournament and a home semifinal. LVC will host Albright on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
Graf improved to 56-25 all-time in doubles, partnering with
Amelia Capuano to win 8-1 at No. 1. She surpassed former teammate
Lauren Fulmer '13 for the record. That led a 2-1 score through doubles for LVC, with
Mary Kate Lemon/
Nicole Kracum winning 9-7 at No. 2 but
Lauren Shanberg and
Lori Noble falling 8-4 at No. 3 to Hanna Lazio and Sydney Schandel.
In singles, LVC took five of six led by Graf's shutout at No. 2 and Capuano's 6-4, 6-1 No. 1 victory. Lemon won 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3 and Noble won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4, with Shanberg capping the match with her 6-4, 6-2 result at No. 6.
