Lebanon Valley 9, Misericordia 0
DALLAS, Pa. - Lebanon Valley shut out Misericordia in its final non-conference match of the season with a 9-0 win.
The Dutchmen (9-4) won all six singles flights in straight sets after capturing a 3-0 lead through doubles.
Christie Graf teamed with
Amelia Capuano to win at No. 1, giving Graf her 55th career doubles victory to tie her for the LVC all-time lead with former teammate
Lauren Fulmer '13.
In singles, Capuano led with a win at No. 1, 6-4, 6-3 over Cassie Foy, and Graf beat Breanne Phillips 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2.
Mary Kate Lemon had an easy route to win 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3, and
Lori Noble was a 6-3, 6-0 victor at No. 4.
Nicole Kracum's 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5 and
Lauren Shanberg's 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 6 completed the shutout.
In doubles, Lemon/Kracum won 8-3 at No. 2, while Shanberg/Noble battled to an 8-6 result at No. 3.
LVC will host Messiah on Saturday in the regular-season finale.
