Gettysburg 5, Lebanon Valley 4
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - A super tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles made the difference as Gettysburg edged out Lebanon Valley, 5-4, in non-conference women's tennis play on Thursday.
Laura Gradiska came back to beat
Amelia Capuano at No. 2, 5-7, 7-5, (11-9) to decide the match in a dramatic finish. LVC (3-2) led 2-1 through doubles after wins by
Christie Graf and Capuano at No. 1 and
Mary Kate Lemon and
Nicole Kracum at No. 2.
In singles, Graf quickly dispatched Anastasia Mogilevski 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 and Noble won 7-5, 6-1 over Maggie McLaughlin at No. 4, but Gettysburg won Nos. 3, 5, and 6 in straight sets to force the deciding No. 2 match.
LVC will host King's on Sunday at 1 p.m.
