Lexie Lantz chipped in with six rebounds to go along with her eight points on the day.
LVC held Stevenson to just 16-of-52 shooting from the floor (30.8%) in the contest and the Mustangs knocked down just three of their 15 attempts from long distance. Additionally, the Dutchmen refused to give up easy points from the free-throw line as Stevenson took just two free throws, making one.
After a small deficit to open the game, sophomore
Bridget Rothert's free throws at the 10:46 mark opened the flood gates for the LVC side as they continued to extend their lead throughout the first half, going into the break ahead, 21-14.
The Valley knocked in six of the first eight points of the second half to take a 12-point advantage at the 16:53 mark, part of a larger 17-2 run, and then scored eight straight from the 15:28 mark to the 13:03 mark to extend the lead to 20.
Stevenson would never get closer than 14 points from that point forward and the Dutchmen earned the right to host throughout the CC Tournament with a 50-36 victory.
