GLENSIDE, Pa. – Senior Caitlin Bach posted a double-double to lead the Lebanon Valley women's basketball team to a business-like 66-51 win on Wednesday evening over Arcadia.

The senior captain posted 12 points and 15 rebounds on the night, leading four Dutchmen in double-figure scoring. Junior Kiely Chaklos recorded 14 points to lead the side, while sophomores Taylor Umbrell and Alyssa Cirucci tallied 13 and 10 points, respectively.

The Dutchmen were again effective on the glass with a 41-29 advantage on the night, leading to 15 second-chance points. Additionally, they only missed two free throws, knocking down 12 of their 14 attempts, compared to just 9-of-18 for the Knights from the charity stripe.

Taking care of business against Arcadia sets up the opportunity at a top-seed clinching win on Saturday against Stevenson on Senior Day. The victory moves the Valley to 19-5 overall on the year and 13-4 in conference play.

Leading from the opening tip to the final buzzer, sophomore Peyton Carper started the scoring early with two buckets in the opening minutes to help the Dutchmen get out to an early lead. Umbrell's jumper with 4:40 to go in the half continued that momentum as the Valley went up, 23-15.

Arcadia came alive at the end of the half, working a small comeback and taking some confidence into the break down just five, 27-22.

Cirucci's jumper two minutes into the second half capped off six straight out of the locker room to move the Valley to their first double-digit lead of the game at 33-22. Trading baskets over the ensuing minutes, five straight from the Knights at the 14-minute mark looked as if the game was going to turn.

However, jumpers from senior Lauren Ruhl and Umbrell, coupled with free throws from sophomore Bridget Rothert pushed the lead back up to ten and the Valley massaged the lead from there out, extending to a 66-51 final.

The Valley aims to avenge an earlier-season loss to Stevenson on Senior Day Saturday, looking to clinch the top seed in the upcoming Commonwealth Conference Tournament. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
