Andy Thurby found the back of the net in overtime as the Lebanon Valley ice hockey team took care of West Chester for the weekend sweep on Saturday evening, 5-4.
Thurby netted a top shelf snipe from the slot in the extra session to secure the 5-4 win. Freshman
Justin Boyd opened the scoring in the first, while junior
Danny Willey posted his first marker of the year and freshman
Joey LaBonte found the net in the third.
Then, Thurby took over, scoring the team's fourth goal in the third and the gamewinner. Sophomore
Matt Healy stopped 35 of 39 shots on the evening.
The Valley travels to Robert Morris on Saturday for a non-league battle at 3:15 p.m.
