ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley College inducted its Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2014 on Oct. 10, welcoming five new individuals and the 1993-94 men's basketball team into its ranks.

Field hockey standouts Angie Lewis Barbush '97 and Alicia Fioravanti Arnold '99, men's basketball's John Harper '94, men's tennis' Chris Hileman '03, and track & field/soccer star Maj. Nate Hillegas '97 joined the 1993-94 Men's Basketball Team as inductees. The national champion men's basketball team is the first team inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1976.

Each inductee had a video introduction, which can be viewed on the GoDutchmen.com YouTube channel, along with the premiere of a mini-documentary chronicling the story of the 1994 men's basketball national championship.

The purpose of the Lebanon Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who, through participation, support, or interest have made outstanding contributions to Lebanon Valley College athletics. These individuals have helped bring recognition, honor, distinction, and excellence to Lebanon Valley College and its intercollegiate athletics program. Inductees must have graduated at least 10 years earlier to be eligible for election.

8111Alicia Fioravanti Arnold '99 - Field Hockey
An outstanding player and coach for LVC field hockey, Alicia Fioravanti Arnold '99 was a part of four NCAA Final Four teams during her time at the Valley. As a student-athlete, Arnold was a three-time NFHCA All-Region selection who helped lead Lebanon Valley to the 1996 and 1997 NCAA Final Fours, and was co-captain and co-MVP during her senior season in 1998 as LVC made it back to the Elite Eight. She was a First-Team All-Commonwealth Conference selection with 23 points that season, ending with 54 career points. Arnold later spent eight seasons as an assistant coach for the Dutchmen, which included the 2006 CC title and NCAA Final Four berths in 2006 and 2007. Arnold is a native of Norristown and currently resides in Lebanon.

8113Angie Lewis Barbush '97 - Field Hockey
An All-American for LVC field hockey in the mid-1990s, Angie Lewis Barbush '97 helped take the program to the next level with their first NCAA Final Four appearance in her senior season, 1996. The 1996 NFHCA All-American and All-Region selection was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team that year as she was LVC's top playmaker with eight assists. She was the first Dutchman to be selected for the NFHCA North/South All-Star Game, and was a First-Team All-MAC and MAC Academic Team honoree. Barbush remained active in field hockey after LVC, coaching in the Manheim Central district, where she still resides.

8112John Harper '94 - Men's Basketball
A co-captain and co-MVP for the 1994 national championship men's basketball team, John Harper anchored one of the most memorable teams in LVC history with his scoring presence inside and on the perimeter. His 1,266 career points ranks 17th all-time at LVC, and he remains the season record-holder for three-point percentage when he buried 51.1 percent of his tries (48-of-94) in 1991-92. He was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team for his play, which included a key 17-point performance in the national semifinal against Wittenberg. Harper is a Middletown native who currently resides in Cambridge, Md.

8110Chris Hileman '03 - Men's Tennis
One of the most decorated men's tennis players in LVC history, Chris Hileman '03 led the Dutchmen to four conference titles during his career. A three-time Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year, Hileman is Lebanon Valley's all-time wins leader, going 72-12 in singles and 55-21 in doubles over his career. He was a two-time captain, won the MAC Individual Singles title in 2002 and was runner-up in 2000, and he received three first-team all-conference nods as well as the 1999 MAC Rookie of the Year award. A native of Altoona, Hileman resides in Sinking Spring.

8114Maj. Nate Hillegas '97 - Track & Field/Men's Soccer
A versatile sprinter and soccer player in the mid-1990s, Nate Hillegas '97 still owns multiple LVC records. The most prolific point-scorer in men's track & field history, Hillegas won multiple MAC titles in the 200m and 400m dashes and the 4x400 relay, and is one of a select few athletes in conference history to win four straight titles in the 400m hurdles. He was twice named the MAC Athlete of the Year, and was a three-time NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier. He remains the program recordholder in the 400m dash and 400m hurdles, and appears on the top-10 in the indoor 55m hurdles and 55m, 200m, and 400m dashes, as well as the outdoor 110m hurdles and multiple relays. In men's soccer, he was the 1993 team MVP and three-year letterwinner. A native of Jonestown, Hillegas is stationed at Fort Polk, La. serving as a major in the United States Army.

81091993-94 Men's Basketball Team
The 1993-94 men's basketball team will be the first team inducted into the LVC Athletic Hall of Fame. Lebanon Valley's only national championship team, they led fans on an unforgettable journey behind head coach Pat Flannery and captains John Harper '94 and Mike Rhoades '95. LVC won the MAC championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Final Four where they won a pair of overtime games. In the national semifinal against favored Wittenberg, LVC erased a 14-point deficit with five minutes left to force overtime, then relied on Rhoades' 33 points and nine assists to win 93-83. That set up what would go down as one of the greatest championship games in college basketball history. Up against giant New York University (enrollment: 49,000), LVC was down in the final seconds but received a miraculous tip-in from Jason Say at the buzzer, then outscored NYU in overtime 11-4 to win the title, 66-59. Four members of the team are already Hall of Fame inductees: Harper (being inducted this year), Rhoades, Flannery, and Mark Hofsass '95.
