3/24/2026 1:59:00 PM

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's basketball team had three student-athletes named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in a release by the professional organization this week.

The Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have played in 90 percent of games or started in 66 percent of games this winter, with a limit of four nominations per school. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.

The three Dutchmen who were honored are Tyler Kerlin, Karson Pavlik, and Kyle Tang.

Kerlin is a sophomore Business Administration major from Etters, Pennsylvania. The guard played in 25 games this year with 14 starts. He averaged 5.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 36.7 percent from the field. This is his first career Academic All-District honor.

Pavlik is a senior Exercise Science major from Westminster, Maryland. The forward played in 24 games this year with 14 starts. He averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 37.7 percent from the field. This is his second career Academic All-District honor.

Tang is a senior Biology major from Vienna, Virginia. The guard started all 25 games this year and earned Honorable Mention All-MAC Freedom honors. He averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field. This is his third consecutive year earning Academic All-District honors.
