10/14/2026 10:24:00 AM

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley College men's basketball Head Coach Matt Miller has announced the hiring of Michael Palazzi and Vincent Gambelunghe as Assistant Coaches to round out his coaching staff for the 2026–2027 season.

Palazzi joins the Flying Dutchmen after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg University, where he was involved in recruiting, scouting, player development and game preparation. During the 2024–2025 season, he helped the Warriors to a 21-9 record and an at-large berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament.

"Coach Palazzi brings a versatile background in player development, analytics, scouting, organization, and recruiting throughout the Mid-Atlantic region," Miller said. "He is a tireless worker who has been around winning programs at multiple levels. His passion for helping student-athletes succeed and his ability to build relationships will be tremendous assets to our program and the LVC community."

Prior to East Stroudsburg, Palazzi spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Montclair State University, guiding the Red Hawks to a 22-6 record and an NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2022–2023. During his time at Montclair State, he recruited throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and worked with multiple All-Conference performers, including National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III Second Team All-American Steve Breeman.

Palazzi's background also includes NBA Pre-Draft workouts with AMR Agency and Roc Nation, player development work with NBA center Moses Brown, and experience with The Hoop Group and Blair Academy. He earned both his bachelor's degree in Sport Management and master's degree in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University.

"I'm incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to join this program and help our student-athletes grow both on and off the court," Palazzi said. "I'm thankful to Coach Miller for believing in me and trusting me with this opportunity. I'm looking forward to building relationships and doing everything I can to help our student-athletes and this program succeed."

Gambelunghe enters his first season as an assistant coach at Lebanon Valley College following coaching experience throughout the Central Pennsylvania high school and grassroots basketball scene.

"Coach Gambelunghe's energy and passion for developing student-athletes and building relationships will positively impact our program," Miller said. "His knowledge of the local basketball landscape will also be a valuable asset as we continue to recruit the region."

A four-year player at Elizabethtown College, Gambelunghe has coached with Central PA Elite, Central Dauphin Middle School, Bishop McDevitt High School, and most recently Team Final Red 16U on the Nike circuit. During the 2025–2026 season, he served as the Head JV Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at Bishop McDevitt.

"I am excited to join the LVC program and contribute in a variety of ways," Gambelunghe said. "We have a great group of student-athletes that I cannot wait to get to work with."

The Dutchmen will begin the 2026-27 season on Saturday, November 7, with a trip to Reading to face Albright College at 7 p.m.  Check out the rest of the schedule here.
