Box Score Men's Basketball
Misericordia 74, Lebanon Valley 72

DALLAS, Pa. - A last-minute comeback by Misericordia felled Lebanon Valley in a 74-72 thriller in non-conference play Monday night.

The Dutchmen (5-12) led for much of the second half, but two buckets by Misericordia's Joe Busacca in the final 1:06 helped them win the game.

Agnew dropped in 30 points on eight-of-13 three-pointers, a career high for him from beyond the arc and just one shy of the program single-game record, while also grabbing seven boards. Kyler Burke tacked on 16 points, and Joey Giangiobbe had seven points and a game-high eight rebounds.

Busacca scored 27 for Misericordia, including the game-winning jumper with 1.7 seconds remaining among Misericordia's final seven points.

Agnew scored 22 of his 30 points in the second half as he helped the Dutchmen build on a three-point halftime lead, but LVC couldn't hang on to a four-point lead after Mike Fasano's jumper with 2:07 fell to put them up 71-67. Busacca hit a three-pointer seconds later, and after Burke converted one of two free throws, Busacca tied the game at the 1:06 mark.

Both teams missed go-ahead chances before LVC wound up with the ball and a chance to win with 30 seconds left, by a turnover gave the Cougars the ball back, the Busacca converted with 1.7 seconds left to give them the lead. LVC couldn't find a final shot at the buzzer.

LVC shot 47.4% overall to MU's 50.9%, but struggled at the line to the tune of 8-of-15 after shooting just under 80% for the season heading into the game. The Dutchmen sank 10 three-pointers, their fifth game this year with double-digit trifectas.

Lebanon Valley returns home Wednesday night to face Widener.
