ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley was unlucky not to find the cage despite outperforming Susquehanna on the stats sheet as they fell 2-0 Wednesday night at Arnold Field.
The Dutchmen (3-6) held advantages of 12-8 on shots and 13-3 on penalty corners, but goals in each half by the Crusaders (6-3) made the difference.
Erica Reichert scored 17:36 into the game, tipping Katherine Millett's corner blast to put the visitors up 1-0. Lauren Cram made it 2-0 in the 47th minute, tucking a loose ball from Millett inside the post.
LVC had no lack of chances, taking seven second-half shots.
Caity Stevens led the Dutchmen with four shots, including a hit post, and
Lauren Brumbach took three.
Chloe Baro made three saves, while Margaret Roth had eight stops for SU.
The Dutchmen will host #17 Lynchburg on Sunday.
