Lebanon Valley 6, Scranton 3

SCRANTON, Pa. - A marathon win at No. 1 by Christie Graf highlighted a 6-3 win by Lebanon Valley on the road at the University of Scranton.

The Dutchmen (2-0) led 2-1 after doubles, then won four singles matches to beat the Royals (0-2).

Graf rallied back after losing a first-set tiebreak to outbattle Devon Cohen for a 6-7 (7-9), 7-5, 10-6 win at No. 1 singles, the only three-setter of the match. Lori Noble cruised 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles against Emily Machado, and Nicole Kracum was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 4 against Lisa-Marie Lanciotti. Brittany Dierwechter beat Valerie Bott 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6.

Graf and Meghan Muccilli won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, and Dierwechter teamed with Noble for a 9-7 win at No. 3.

LVC will play in the three-day Goucher Open starting Sept. 27.
