BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Lebanon Valley women's volleyball team won all three of its matches on the weekend and captured the Bridgewater Quad title on Saturday afternoon with two wins over Neumann and the host, Bridgewater.
After taking care of Frostburg State on Friday evening, the Dutchmen came out on Saturday morning and rallied from a two sets to one deficit to knock off Neumann, 3-2. The Valley dropped the first and third sets, 22-25 and 18-25, but won the second set, 25-18, the fourth set, 25-19, and the fifth set, 15-9.

Greta Weidemoyer posting 13. Confer hit .317 in the match on 41 attacks with six errors.
Junior
Kacey Musselman was dominant in her passing with 42 assists on the day, coupled with 12 digs for the double-double. Senior
Jess Finlayson led the defense with 13 digs.
In the second match of the day, the Valley took down the host in four sets. Although they dropped the first game, 17-25, they were dominant in sets two, three, and four with 25-13, 25-19, and 25-15 scores.
"Bridgewater is a big, strong team that was a force at the net," head coach Wayne Perry said. "I was very pleased with our blocking and thought we really did what we needed to do to take them out of their game."
The Dutchmen blocked back seven Bridewater attacks on the afternoon, led by Weidemoyer with four block assists. Offensively, sophomore
Alli Quirk played great, posting 12 kills on just 18 attacks for a .611 hitting percentage.
Musselman picked up 29 assists in the match, while freshman
Morgan Webb led the side defensively with nine digs. Additionally, freshman
Rachel Moltz, senior
Jess Finlayson, and freshman
Taylor Troutman each recorded two service aces.
The Valley return to Commonwealth Conference play on Tuesday when they host Arcadia at 7 p.m.
