Lebanon Valley 7, Hood 2
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley clinched a Commonwealth Conference tournament berth, beating Hood 7-2 Saturday in women's tennis action.
While the Dutchmen (10-6, 4-1 CC) are ensured of a tournament appearance, they will have to beat Alvernia next Saturday to secure the #2 seed in the playoff bracket.
The middle of LVC's lineup provided the points on Saturday, with a win at No. 2 doubles and Nos. 2 through 5 singles carrying the team.
Lauren Fulmer won on her senior day, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2, and
Mary Kate Lemon was a 6-3, 6-0 victor at No. 3.
Lori Noble won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4, and
Nicole Kracum won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5.
Hood forfeited No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
The Dutchmen visit Alvernia April 27.
