ANNVILLE, Pa. -
Tim Filer went 3-for-4 with three RBI, and
Brian Kaniuka also drove in three coming off the bench to lead Lebanon Valley in an 11-3 win over Valley Forge Christian.
The Dutchmen improved to 10-20 this season after Filer doubled in his first run in the first, and
Andrew DeCew joined him to give LVC a quick 2-0 lead. Three more runs in the 2nd came in thanks to
Ethan Klink,
Derek Brousseau, and Filer to make it 5-0.
Valley Forge got three back in the fifth, but LVC put some space in the game with runs driven in by
Brian Kaniuka and Filer in the fifth, before Klink grounded in
Jordan Higgins and Kaniuka tripled to plate
Brandon Popp and
Mike Specht in the sixth.
LVC gave six pitchers work during the game, with
Corey Cinicola (2-4) surrendering just two hits and striking out four in three innings off the start.
Lucas Gienow,
Lee Webber,
Patrick Reagan,
Matthew McMonagle, and Specht split relief duties.
The Dutchmen will start their weekend series with Arcadia Friday, hosting the Knights at 3:30 p.m.
