HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Lebanon Valley got its spring off to the right start, blanking York 9-0 in the first match of its spring break trip to Hilton Head Island.

The Dutchmen (3-2) dispatched the Spartans (2-4) easily with straight-set wins across the board.

The most competitive match came at No. 2 doubles as Lauren Fulmer and Lauren Shanberg held off Nikki Olson and Emily Price to win 9-7. Mary Kate Lemon pitched a shutout over Price at No. 4 singles to highlight the individual matches, winning 6-0, 6-0, and Christie Graf won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 over Megan McCullin. Amelia Capuano and Fulmer won at Nos. 1 and 3 by identical 6-3, 6-0 scores, and Lori Noble (No. 5) and Shanberg (No. 6) also picked up singles wins.

LVC will take on Eastern University Tuesday in Hilton Head.
