RADNOR, Pa. - New school records by freshman Kyra Valent and the men's 200 medley relay set the tone as Lebanon Valley swept a dual meet with Cabrini Friday night.

The Dutchmen (both 2-2) won the men's side 108-69 and the women's 115-81 on the strength of 16 total event wins.

Valent set the school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle, winning in 11:49.83 to break teammate Alicia Hain's 12:00.11 standard set last January. The men's 200-yard medley relay touched first in 1:45.29 to shave eight-hundreths off the mark of 1:45.37 set in 2008. Bryce Betz, Bobby Burkhart, Clay Heebner, and Dan Weinel were on the relay.

Garrett Collins won the 1,000-yard free in 11:21.58, and was first in exhibition in the 500 in 5:22.74. Five other Dutchmen won events, including Dan Weinel and David Corvino, who swept the sprint frees as Weinel captured the 50-yard free in 23.26 and Corvino the 100-yard free in 52.83. Blade Umstead won the 200-yard IM in 2:19.45, and Clay Heebner was first in the 100-yard fly at 57.18 while Bryce Betz took the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.47.

The men's 200-yard free relay of Corvino, Timothy Carroll, Collins, and Weinel was first in exhibition in 1:35.37.

Valent doubled up in the distance events with the 500-free in 5:43.01, one of three dual-winners for the LVC women along with Jan Ikeda and Hain. Ikeda took the 200-yard free in 2:05.57 and the 100-yard fly in 1:00.24, while Hain was first in the 200-yard IM (2:23.49) before winning the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.63

The women's 200-yard medley relay (Erin Kingham, Morgan Heisey, Jan Ikeda, Noelle Brossman) was also victorious in 2:00.49, and the 200-yard free relay (Alayna Kalinay, Hain, Valent, Brossman) was first in exhibition in 1:48.48.

The Dutchmen will visit King's on Nov. 15.
