2013 Schedule
ANNVILLE, Pa. – For those seeking warm thoughts: the Lebanon Valley College baseball team opens its season in less than two months.
The Dutchmen (24-18, 10-8 CC in 2012) will open their season with a nonconference game at Wilkes on Feb. 23 before setting off on their annual Spring Break trip to Fort Pierce, Fla., on March 3.
This season's Spring Break schedule includes games against Misericordia, Muhlenberg, Westminster, Martin Luther, Susquehanna, and Penn State-Behrend.
“We have a challenging schedule early on this season,” head coach
Keith Evans said. “Our trip south brings several tough opponents.”
The team opens at home against DeSales on March 13 in the first of 17 games slated to be played at McGill Field this season.
LVC opens Commonwealth Conference play on March 15 at Widener and plays its first conference home games the next day against the Pride.
The Dutchmen will host each of the seven other Commonwealth teams at least once, including newcomers Stevenson University. They will close out the season with a Senior Day doubleheader against Elizabethtown on April 27.
“Our league schedule has always been tough, but with the addition of Stevenson it got stronger this season,” Evans said.
Other nonconference opponents this season include Penn State Berks, Ursinus, Frostburg State, Valley Forge Christian, Marywood, Catholic, Neumann, and Delaware Valley.
