Lebanon Valley 67, Stevenson 34
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Behind 11-point performances by
Taylor Umbrell and
Kiely Chaklos, #19 Lebanon Valley was able to dominate Stevenson in a 67-34 win at home Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchmen (11-2, 5-1 CC) have now won three in a row entering the second half of the regular season schedule and will now play Commonwealth Conference games exclusively.
Umbrell's 11 points are a season high. She played well off the bench, scoring seven points in a 12-0 run late in the first half and adding four more in the second half.
Tierney Hiltz, who entered the game averaging 12.5 points per game, was held scoreless through the first half but added nine after the break. Her performance was a matched the trend of the entire team. LVC shot just 31.3 percent in the first half but began hitting at a healthy 59.3 percent clip in the second half.
In the final 10:34 of the game, LVC outscored Stevenson 26-7. The Dutchmen ended the win on an 11-0 run led by a pair of layups by Umbrell.
Hiltz and Umbrell shared the team lead in rebounding with six boards each. Chaklos and
Renee Fritz grabbed five boards each, and Fritz added a pair of blocks.
LVC plays at Lycoming Wednesday.
