Stevenson 76, Lebanon Valley 66

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley couldn't catch up Stevenson in the second half as the Mustangs held on for a 76-66 win Saturday.

The Dutchmen (5-8, 2-4 CC) got 23 points from Danny Brooks, but the Mustangs' (8-4, 2-4 CC) Christian Roberts had a red-hot shooting game, draining seven of eight three-point attempts on the way to 29 points.

LVC led for a good chunk of the game until a 24-8 run in the middle of the second half put Stevenson up for good as the visitors shot a superb 68% from the floor after the break.

Stevenson held all the early momentum, but LVC slowly chipped away and pulled even with the Mustangs at 20-20 after a Kyler Burke three-pointer. That sparked Lebanon Valley's offense as the Dutchmen outscored their guests 18-7 for the rest of the half to lead 35-27.

Things quickly swung back Stevenson's way to start the second half as Alfonzo Hawkins' three-pointer set off a 9-0 run that gave SU a 43-41 lead. LVC came back with back-to-back layups by Kevin Agnew and Burke to put LVC up three, but another huge 12-0 Stevenson run that included eight points by Roberts put the Mustangs ahead for good.

Burke ended up with 13 and Joey Giangiobbe scored 11, all in the first half. Hawkins added 17 for Stevenson.

LVC will visit Lycoming Wednesday night.
