Lebanon Valley 77, Albright 67
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley picked up its second big win of the week, knocking off conference leader Albright 77-67 on Saturday.
The surging Dutchmen (7-8, 4-4 CC) won for the fourth time in five games, coming off a win against then-first-place Lycoming Wednesday night. LVC shot 7-of-11 from outside the arc, led by freshman
Kyler Burke's 4-for-4 effort on the way to 18 points.
Joey Giangiobbe scored 14 points with eight rebounds.
All five LVC starters scored in double digits as LVC led the entire second half, again shooting red-hot after the break at a 62.1% clip - and 7-of-8 for three in the second half.
Albright's Dave Singleton led the Lions with a near triple-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
The first half was back and forth with four lead changes and five ties, but the Dutchmen never looked back after leading 32-25 at the half, staying ahead for the rest of the game. Albright stayed close, however, pulling within a point at 59-58 with 5:19 to go before a jumper by Agnew and Burke's final three-pointer opened up a 66-62 lead.
Danny Brooks hit a pair of free throws, and another Agnew three put the game out of reach with a minute to go.
LVC will visit Hood Wednesday night.
