WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Another strong outing from the entire line-up led LVC to a shutout of Lycoming, 9-0, and more importantly a place in the Commonwealth Conference championship tournament.

The Dutchmen (13-4, 4-1 CC) clinched a playoff berth, but will have to top Albright on Tuesday to officially secure the #2 seed and a home semifinal when the playoffs begin on May 1.

Christie Graf and Amelia Capuano continued their strong seasons at Nos. 1 and 2, with Graf beating Megan Gardner 6-3, 6-1, and Capuano running her win streak to 11 matches 6-2, 6-0 over Emily Zangara.

Playing indoors, the teams played pro sets at the bottom four singles flights, with LVC coming away with wins at all of them. Lauren Fulmer topped Shannon Sheridan 8-6 at No. 3, and Tam Lobb won 8-1 over Kathy Jacobs at No. 4. Mary Kate Lemon improved to 15-3 with an 8-3 win against Ellen Phillips, and Meghan Muccilli blanked Adriana Rivera 8-0 at No. 6.

LVC had little trouble in singles, with Capuano/Graf winning their eighth straight, 8-2, at No. 1, and Lemon/Fulmer improving to 9-2 with an 8-2 win at No. 2. Lobb/Muccilli remained unbeaten in dual-match play with an 8-4 victory at No. 3.
