Lebanon Valley 8, Stevenson 1
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Strong play up and down the ladder led Lebanon Valley past Stevenson with an 8-1 victory on Thursday.
The Dutchmen (12-4) had the chance to shuffle the line-up inbetween conference matches, mixing things up in singles after going 3-0 through doubles.
Christie Graf and
Amelia Capuano led doubles with an 8-0 win at No. 1, their seventh straight, and
Tam Lobb and
Mary Kate Lemon also recorded a shutout at No. 3.
Lauren Fulmer and
Meghan Muccilli won 8-1 at No. 3.
In singles, Graf won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, and the Dutchmen also won the bottom four flights. Lemon made her first appearance at No. 3 and won 6-0, 6-4, and Muccilli won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.
Lori Noble was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 5, and
Nicole Kracum picked up her first collegiate win at No. 6 with a 6-0, 6-2 result.
The Mustangs' lone point was at No. 3 as Stephanie Eyler outbattled
Lauren Fulmer in a tiebreaker, 6-4, 3-6, (10-3).
LVC will visit Lycoming on Saturday with a chance to secure a playoff berth.
