ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley opened up its home spring schedule Wednesday, getting by Ursinus for a 7-2 win.

The Dutchmen (5-3) turned around a 5-4 loss to the Bears (3-4) from last season, taking a 2-1 lead after doubles thanks to a rally at No. 2 and then winning five of six singles matches.

The No. 2 doubles pair of Lauren Fulmer and Mary Kate Lemon came back from 7-5 down to win 9-7 after No. 3 team Tam Lobb and Meghan Muccilli won 8-6 and Ursinus' Heather McMasters and Jimena Talavera took the Bears' lone double point at No. 1 with an 8-6 win over Christie Graf and Amelia Capuano.

In singles, it was all LVC as Graf cruised by McMasters 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1, Lemon topped Dana McDonough 7-5, 6-2 at No. 5, and Muccilli beat Jamie Dumler 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6. Capuano won a tough match from a set down at No. 2, topping Talavera 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, and Lobb needed a tiebreaker to also rally back and win over Audrey Whitebloom 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 at No. 4. Jessica Tyrell earned Ursinus' singles point with a 6-2, 7-6 (2) win over Fulmer at No. 3.

LVC is home against Saturday to host King's.
