CHESTER, Pa. - Widener barrelled out to a big halftime lead and never looked back, clinching its playoff spot with a 91-70 win over Lebanon Valley on Tuesday night.

Led by Danny Brooks' 26 points, the Dutchmen (11-13, 4-9 CC) couldn't get past a balanced scoring load and rebounding advantage by the Pride (18-6, 9-4 CC).

Jordan Stewart scored 16 points with seven boards (including four three-pointers) while Joe Meehan had 12 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds to go with three steals for LVC.

Widener was led by Lamar Jackson's 20, and starters Rob McPherson (18 points), Jack Brennan (17 points, 11 rebounds), and Perry Wright (16 points) helped on the scoresheet. The Pride led 48-36 in rebounding while shooting 49.3 percent from the floor; LVC shot 39.4 percent overall.

The Pride built a modest lead through the opening 10 minutes of the game, but blew the game open with a 9-0 run as LVC suffered a 5:54 scoring drought in mid-half. Widener extended its lead to 50-31 at the break.

The second half was more of the same from the Pride as they went up by as much as 25. LVC showed some life late in the half with a 10-0 run to cut the lead to 13 with 3:15 left, but Widener went 11-12 from the foul line in the closing minutes to keep the Dutchmen from getting any closer.

LVC will finish the season Saturday at Arcadia.
