Lebanon Valley 7, Villanova 3

HERSHEY, Pa. - Wes Landsem scored three goals and picked up an assist to lead Lebanon Valley past Villanova, 7-3, Friday night.

For the Dutchmen, the game matters only for seeding. They will play Lehigh next Friday at 2 p.m. in West Chester in the
opening round of the ECHA playoffs and will be seeded fourth.

The game began with Senior Night recognition for six players: Nick Averona, Timothy Bodenheimer, Matt Kisiday, Daniel Ramirez, Shaun Stamm, and Kyle Stewardson.

Once pregame festivites closed, the Dutchmen found enough ferocity to out shove and outscore the Wildcats. Landsem opened the scoring with an unassisted, crossover goal.

John Noble tied the game up minutes later, but Landsem put LVC back up with two minutes to play in the period on a wristshot deflection to the upper right of the night. Chris Asroff and Brent Davis each picked up assists in the midst of a 10-body collision outside the crease.

The Wildcats took their only lead of the game in the second period on goals from Ryan Farrell and Rob Edwards, but it was all Dutchmen for the final 28 minutes of the game.

Davis scored a power play goal off a pass from Cole Bell to open a chain of five consecutive LVC goals.

Landsem, Bell, Davis, and Martin each knocked in goals during the attack. Martin's came with just 1:51 to play and was his first of the season. Ramirez also picked up his first assist.

Landsem sits at 15 goals on the season, behind only Kisiday's 21.

James Murray started the game in goal but split time with Matt Turner. Murray made 11 saves and allowed all three scores. Turner made 20 saves closing out the game.

The Dutchmen close out the regular season Saturday at #5 Liberty.
