ANNVILLE, Pa. - A late run by Misericordia broke open a tight game as the visitors beat Lebanon Valley, 61-57, on Sunday.

Danny Brooks led the Dutchmen (3-6, 2-3 CC) with 15 points and nine rebounds, including his 500th career board. The senior is only the eighth player in program history, and first since Steve Horst '01, to score 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds in a career.

Both teams were lights-out in the first half, with MU shooting 64% to LVC's 63%, but the wheels fell off both team's shooting after the break as MU shot 31% (including 1-for-10 for three) and LVC was held to just 18.8% on 6-of-32 tries.

LVC fell behind 17-7 early on, but stormed back into the game thanks to an three Agnew baskets and Nick Pappas' inside bucket to tie it at 24-24. That was part of a larger 17-4 run that put the Dutchmen up 31-26 late in the half, and LVC carried a 42-38 advantage into the break.

The second half began with both teams struggling to make shots, an after Joey Giangiobbe's opening layup, MU scored 11 of the next 13 points to retake the lead at the midpoint of the half. LVC went ahead on Pappas' layup with 6:01 left before Ware's fastbreak dunk, a Cael Evans layup, and a killer three-pointer by Travis Buckner put the visitors up 58-53 with 3:03 to go.

Kyler Burke canned a three-pointer from the wing with 2:41 left to bring LVC back within a basket, but Ware made a free throws, then soared from mid-key on a two-handed dunk to seal the game with 45 seconds left as LVC never got another good look at a shot.

The Dutchmen will head to Miami, Fla. for games against Coe and Medaille later this week before returning home Jan. 2 against Penn State Harrisburg.
