ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley fought undefeated Cabrini down to the final match, but ultimately fell 5-4 in the 2011-12 season debut on Tuesday.

The Dutchmen went ahead 2-1 after doubles, but the Cavaliers (5-0) won four singles points, including the decisive match at No. 3 between Michelle Lettman and Tam Lobb.

Freshman Lori Noble picked up a pair of wins in her collegiate debut, beating Victoria Nastala 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and teaming with classmate Meghan Muccilli at No. 3 doubles to defeat Lettmann and Samantha Trumbo 8-6. Lauren Fulmer also won both matches, beating Alexis DiCamillo at No. 2 singles 6-1, 7-5, and working with Mary Kate Lemon to win 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, Katie Kennedy topped Christie Graf 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1, Adriana Scotto beat Muccilli 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4, and Trumbo defeated Lauren Shanberg 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6 to make it a 4-4 match. That left it to No. 3 singles, where Lobb rallied from 4-0 down in the second set before Lettmann closed the match at 7-5, 6-4.

Cabrini's lone doubles points was at No. 1, where Kennedy and Scotto beat Graf and Lobb 8-4.

LVC will make up its match at Juniata on Saturday.
