YORK, Pa. - With a win at No. 1 doubles, senior
Shayna Heintzelman won her 100th career match to lead Lebanon Valley past York, 6-3, on Thursday.
The Dutchmen (7-5) went up 2-1 in doubles and then won the middle four singles flights to top the Spartans (6-4).
With her 8-2 No. 1 doubles win with
Christie Graf, Heintzelman is a combined 100-44 in singles and doubles matches. She is the second player in program history to reach the century mark, joining former teammate
Sarah Grodzinski '10, who finished her career with 118 combined wins (75 singles, 43 doubles). Heintzelman also tied Grodzinski for second on LVC's doubles wins list at 43.
Lauren Fulmer and
Tam Lobb picked up the other doubles point, winning 8-4 at No. 2, and LVC earned four points in singles with Fulmer, Graf, Lobb, and
Danielle Bordner all winning.
Fulmer took a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 2 over Katelyn Acker, and Graf beat Samantha Brenner 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3. Lobb and Bordner both gutted out three-set victories, with Lobb beating Megan McCullin 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 4 and Bordner topping Arcondia Vlahos 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 at No. 5.
LVC will host Albright on April 13.
