ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley moved to 2-0 in Commonwealth Conference play, finally getting a break in the weather and easing past Albright 7-2 on a picture-perfect day Thursday afternoon.
The Dutchmen (8-5, 2-0 CC) won four singles flights and a doubles match while taking two forfeit points from the Lions (0-10, 0-4 CC).
Lauren Fulmer,
Christie Graf,
Tam Lobb, and
Morgan Brady all won 6-0, 6-0 in singles, and Jess Ferlenda and Brady won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Danielle Bordner was credited with the forfeit win at No. 6, and
Alyssa Kulp and
Lauren Shanberg the win at No. 3 doubles.
Albright's points came at the No. 1's, with Victoria Foanio beating
Shayna Heintzelman 6-3, 6-4 in singles and Foanio and Desiree Owle defeating Heintzelman and
Christie Graf 9-8 (7-3) at doubles.
LVC will turn around and head to Elizabethtown College for a make-up match Friday at 3:30 p.m.
