Lebanon Valley 7, King's 2
WILKES- BARRE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley picked up a road win Tuesday, visiting King's College and coming away with a 7-2 win.
The Dutchmen (5-5) were playing the Monarchs (2-7) in a final non-league tune-up before Commonwealth Conference play begins this Saturday at rival Elizabethtown.
LVC won the top five singles flights in straight sets after taking a 2-1 lead in doubles.
Shayna Heintzelman led the Dutchmen with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Diana Darby at No. 1, and
Lauren Fulmer added her 6-2, 6-2 win over Rachel Hoffnagle at No. 2.
Christie Graf picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win against Maria Cometa at No. 3, and
Sarah Beatty beat Jennifer Bader 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4. At No. 5,
Morgan Brady won 6-3, 6-2 against Nicole Molino. Emily Biffen picked up King's only singles point with a 6-1, 6-3 win against
Alyssa Kulp at No. 6.
In doubles, LVC picked up victories at the top two flights, with Heintzelman/Graf winning 8-2 at No. 1 and Fulmer/
Tam Lobb winning 8-3 at No. 2.
