ANNVILLE, Pa. - Six players scored in double figures, led by
Zach Kebetz's 18 points and
Joe Meehan's 16-point, 13-assist performance, as Lebanon Valley blew by Marywood, 97-43, to advance to the ECAC South semifinals. The top-seeded Dutchmen will host the final two rounds this Saturday and Sunday.
LVC (21-7) will advance to play Wesley on Saturday at 3 p.m. In the other semifinal, DeSales will play Catholic at 1 p.m. The final will be Sunday at 1 p.m.
Meehan was impressive, dishing out a career-high 13 assists with four steals in just 26 minutes, while Kebetz came off the bench to drain 18.
Sean MacIntosh also scored 15 with six steals off the bench.
Anthony Trautman (11),
Grant Becker (10), and
Danny Brooks (10) also scored in double figures, and
Jordan Stewart grabbed 11 boards.
The Pacers (13-14) shot just 6-for-32 in the second half as LVC blew open the game, outscoring them 49-14 after the break. The Dutchmen picked off a school-record 17 steals, bettering their mark of 16 set earlier this year against Wilkes.
Lebanon Valley shot a solid 54.3% while forcing 23 Marywood turnovers and 27.4% shooting. LVC was aided by 17-for-24 shooting at the line.
The Dutchmen led wire-to-wire, jumping out to an 11-2 lead and never letting off the gas. After Timothy Mullen's three-pointer midway through the first cut the score to 15-10, LVC embarked on an 11-0 run, and they added on another 11-0 spurt to end the second half up 48-29.
LVC remained red-hot in the second half, holding Marywood scoreless until the 15:38 mark as they built up a 60-31 lead. The Pacers managed just four points in the first 11:01 of the half while LVC shot well from the floor and extended the lead.
