COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Singles wins by
Lauren Fulmer and
Christie Graf weren't enough to lift Lebanon Valley past Ursinus as the Dutchmen fell 7-2 in non-league play Friday.
The Dutchmen (4-5) picked up their only points at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, first as Fulmer beat Mara Berzins 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2 and then with Graf's 6-3, 6-2 win over Jimena Talavera at No. 3.
The Bears, however, swept doubles and then won four singles matches to claim the match victory. That included a hard-fought match at No. 1 as Julia Kurtz outlasted
Shayna Heintzelman, 6-2, 5-7, 10-5, and at No. 4 as Jessica Tyrrell beat
