Box Score

ST. DAVID, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley scored four unanswered goals in the second half, then withstood a barrage by Eastern to win 6-2 on Wednesday.

The Dutchmen (10-4) won for the sixth straight time behind a five-point game from Jenni Walker and a goal and assist each by Jess Cox and Jocelyn Novak.

LVC scored four goals in 14 minutes midway through the second half to blow apart a 2-2 game, but the defense had to face 19 Eastern penalty corners in the second half. Christine Poletti made seven saves in the win.

Despite 21 opportunities overall, LVC's defensive penalty corner unit held Eastern with a goal, while the Dutchmen offensive penalty corner unit was outstanding, converting four of 11 chances.

Walker scored twice off corners in the first half, putting LVC up 2-0 with goals less than six minutes apart on assists by Cox and Lauren Brumbach. The Eagles equalized just before halftime, with Abby Wagner and Brittany Moyer scoring four minutes apart to make it 2-2 at the break.

The game remained knotted until Cox scored from Walker on a corner in the 42nd minute, and Novak beat Sara Blaylock moments later to go up 4-2, off Cate Cusack's assist. The goal, Novak's career 126th, puts her six off the NCAA all-time record.

Caitlin Vasey finished off a run through the defense in the 53rd minute, and Nicole Vasiliu earned her first career goal in the 56th minute on Novak's assist.

LVC led 18-12 on shots, while Eastern held a wide 21-11 corners advantage. Both goalkeepers had seven saves.

Lebanon Valley returns home for Oktoberfest Weekend on Saturday to face Alvernia in an important Commonwealth Conference game at 11 a.m.
