Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The #21/#20 Lebanon Valley women's basketball team recorded its 11th straight win with a 66-54 victory over Lycoming Wednesday evening. Junior Andrea Hoover continued her hot streak, leading the way for the fourth-straight game, scoring 14 points.

Hoover added four assists and was 8-for-8 from the free throw line, while classmate Suzie Noyes added 11 points and a team-high four steals. Both players notched seven rebounds each to lead the Dutchmen.

The game began with the two teams swapping baskets until 11:29 of the first when Liz Borgia hit a jumper to put Lebanon Valley ahead. The Dutchmen maintained their advantage for the remainder of the first half and took a 13 point lead into the half.

Suzie Noyes started the second half with a jumper to push the lead to a game-high 15 points, but back-to-back three pointers by the Warriors chipped away at LVC's advantage. Lycoming continued to put up a fight and cut the lead to within six with just over 10 minutes to play in the game. That was as close as the Warriors would come as Andrea Hoover drew a foul with just over two minutes to play and made both free throws. Tierney Hiltz then hit a jumper right after to increase the lead to 11 with 1:56 remaining. LVC maintained the advantage for the remainder of the contest to record the win.

Freshmen Liz Borgia and Renee Fritz tallied nine points each, and classmate Tierney Hiltz posted seven points in the win.

Lebanon Valley recorded 30 points in the paint, including 26 in the first half. The Dutchmen also posted 17 second chance tallies and 31 bench points.

The Dutchmen sit atop the Commonwealth Conference with a 9-0 record, and are 19-1 overall this season. With the win, Lebanon Valley clinched a berth in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament, set to begin Feb. 24. A location and time has yet to be announced.

LVC hits the road Saturday for a 1 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game at Widener.
