Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Anthony Trautman drained a career-high 31 points with eight three-pointers to lead Lebanon Valley to a huge second half and a blowout win over Misericordia, 93-67, on Sunday.

The Dutchmen (6-4) led 37-32 at halftime but outscored the Cougars (5-5) 56-35 in the second half as Joe Meehan scored 18 of his 23 points after the break. Misericordia slumped to their fifth straight loss after starting the year 5-0.

Trautman becomes just one of three players in LVC history to can eight three-pointers in a game, one shy of Kyle Enoch '09's record of nine set in 2007. J.D. Byers '05 is the only other player to make eight, doing it on three occasions. Trautman's 31 points is the first 30-point game by a Dutchman since Enoch had 32 against SUNY Cortland in 2008-09.

Trautman was 8-for-13 from beyond the arc for 31 points, while Meehan was 8-for-9 at the line to key his 23 points, and he also had six assists. Danny Brooks hadded 16 points and seven rebounds in the paint. Robbie Johnson led MU with 17 points, and Ethan Eichhort had 14 points and nine boards.

LVC shot 56.7% overall, including 20-for-29 (69%) in the second half, and they made 10 of 18 three-point attempts. Misericordia shot just 37.5%, including a dismal 4-for-24 day from beyond the arc.

Misericordia led after the game's first basket by Johnson, but LVC immediately took control with Trautman's first three-pointer and a Grant Becker layup, eventually working a 10-point lead late in the half after Brooks converted a three-point play.

The Cougars ended the first half with a 9-0 run, however, cutting a 14-point lead to just five in a span of 2:05 and going into the half down 37-32.

Misericorida hung in for the first few minutes of the second half, but Trautman took control with 12 straight points, sandwiching three-pointers around an and-one layup and tacking on another bucket to turn a six-point LVC lead into a commanding 15-point advantage.

MU never responded after that, and LVC's lead ballooned to as much as 29 in the closing moments as they shot a red-hot 20-for-29 (69%) in the half.

LVC will head south to Florida to play Babson in the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Dec. 28.
