READING, Pa. - #Jordan Stewart#'s buzzer-beater three-pointer sent the game to overtime, but Albright outscored Lebanon Valley 8-3 in the extra period to win, 68-63, Saturday at the Bollman Center.

The Dutchmen (6-10, 2-5 CC) continue a six-game losing skid with the loss, including five straight league setbacks after starting 2-0. The Lions (15-2, 6-1 CC) remained in a tie with Lycoming for first place in the Commonwealth Conference.

In the last six LVC losses, the Dutchmen had seen a late lead or tie slip away in the final minute or overtime, and Saturday's game was no exception after LVC had to rally back from being down five with 1:43 left in regulation.

#Joe Meehan# drained 24 points to lead LVC, and #Grant Becker# had 15 in 36 minutes of play. #Dan Dunkelberger# grabbed 15 rebounds to go with two blocks.

Albright was led by Zac Shaeffer, who also had 24 points, and Matt Ashcroft, who scored 19. Derek Hall added eight points and 12 rebounds.

Stewart's three-pointer capped a furious comeback that started when Becker and Meehan sink back-to-back jumpers in the final 1:19. After an intentional foul put Schaeffer on the line for two, Meehan missed a shot at the other end, and LVC had to foul Hall to have any chance.

With eight seconds left, Hall missed the first of his one-and-one, and Becker's rebound led to a pass out to Meehan, who found Stewart on the wing for a fall-away bank-shot three at the buzzer.

But overtime was all Albright as Hall sank an opening jumper before Shaeffer drew a three-point play to take a quick 65-60 lead that LVC never recovered from. Only Meehan managed to score for LVC in OT, with a layup and a foul shot.

LVC visits Wilkes on Monday in a non-conference match-up.
