YORK, Pa. - Sammy Burkey and Sarah Grodzinski both broke the LVC season record for singles wins as they led the Dutchmen to a 6-3 win over York College Monday.

Burkey and Grodzinski each won their 20th match of the season for the Dutchmen (16-3), besting former teammate Leslie Sabas' record of 19-2, set last year. Burkey is now 20-1, including 15 in a row, while Grodzinski is 20-2.

Grodzinski was a 6-0, 6-4 winner at No. 1, while Charissa Nordall won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2. Burkey cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3, and Shayna Heintzelman won in three, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0, at No. 4.

York salvaged two points at the bottom of the ladder as Megan Logan topped Sara Wagner, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 5, and Stephanie Nelson beat Jan White 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6.

LVC won at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to round out the match.
