Big Second Half Leads LVC By FDU-Florham, 101-72

Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Senior Dan Hodge drained a career-high 30 points to lead Lebanon Valley in a rout over FDU-Florham, 101-72, on Saturday.

The high-scoring Dutchmen (6-5, 0-0 Commonwealth) crossed the century mark for the third time this season, a feat not reached since the 1997-98 season. The Devils (2-8, 1-1 Freedom) were down by just three at the half before being outscored 62-36 in the second.

LVC was strong again at the line, shooting 27-for-30. Hodge's 30 came on 10-of-16 shooting and included four three-pointers; Kyle Enoch scored 22 and grabbed seven rebounds, and Grant Becker scored 12. Eric Humphrey added 12 points and eight boards off the bench, and Joe Meehan scored eight and had as many assists.

Ryan McPherson led FDU-Florham with 15 points, and Adam Katz added 14.

A see-saw first-half had the Dutchmen pull away after an early Devil lead, only to be caught in the late minutes as FDU went on a 9-0 run to close the half while holding LVC scoreless over the final 2:08.

Leading 39-36 at the half, LVC wasted no time increasing the lead to start the second with a massive 14-0 run, keyed by a pair of Hodge three-pointers, that all but put the game out of reach for the Devils.

The game got out of hand from there as the Dutchmen lead ballooned to 29 on Hodge's final layup to put LVC over 100 points.

LVC will now get ready for Commonwealth Conference play, heading to Arcadia on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. start.
